Meet Our Teachers and Staff
Principal
MRS. Westner
Amy Westner has been an active member of Church of Our Saviour for 26 years. Mrs. Westner holds both an Associate’s degree and Bachelor’s degree from Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. She has recently earned a K-6 teacher certification from the State of Florida as well as a Catechist Certification form the Diocese of Orlando. Mrs. Westner’s belief and dedication to Catholic Education keeps bringing her back to Our Saviour. First, in faith formation, as the director of R.C.I.A, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, then as a school parent, school board member and permanent substitute teacher. In 2011 Mrs. Westner joined the permanent staff at Our Saviours. Mrs. Westner currently serves our school as school principal.

Judy Bailey has served Our Saviour School for 30 years. Many parents of current students remember her teaching them when they were 6 years old!

MRS. Holtz
Laura Holtz has been teaching at Our Saviour Catholic School since 2021. An Indiana-native, she graduated from Marian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a minor in Psychology. Before teaching, Laura spent time in Phoenix, Arizona as a live-in MissionCorp for women in crisis pregnancies. She loves her job as a Catholic educator and looks forward to obtaining a K-6 professional teaching certificate. Her favorite thing is to watch students grow and blossom throughout the year!
MRS. AFAF
Mrs. Afaf has been working with Our Saviour Catholic School for seventeen years. She has two children who both attended Our Saviour Catholic school from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. Mrs. Afaf has been involved in the Pre-Kindergarten 3 and VPK classes as well as the summer camp program. She has a Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) certificate for children from birth to 5 years old.

Mrs. Housman
Mrs. Housman has been educating young minds at Our Saviour since 2013, but has been a part of the Our Saviour Parish family since 2008 when Fr. Heslin married her and her husband. She graduated from Florida State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and minor in Child and Family Sciences. Mrs. Housman has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 17 years. Although her first love is teaching preschool, she has also taught 4th and 5th grade. Her years of experience as a preschool teacher and center director is proving to be vital addition to Our Saviour Catholic School. Mrs. Housman holds her Professional Teaching Certificate in Primary Education, DCF 40HR Certification, DCF Staff and Directors Credentials.
Mrs. Housman believes every child has the want and willingness to learn, but it’s up to her to instill a life-long love of learning.
Mrs. Gisondi
Mrs. Gisondi has been with Our Saviour Catholic School going on twenty-two years. During those years, she has been a teacher assistant in kindergarten and for the past seventeen years a co-teacher in prekindergarten. Her experience working with different teachers and grades has provided to be invaluable. She has a Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College and the DCF 40HR Certification.
Mrs. Gisondi believes in the importance and the lasting impact of a Catholic education as both her daughters have graduated from Our Saviour Catholic School.
Kindergarten
Mrs. Goodwin
Mrs. Tracie Goodwin has been teaching as a Florida State Certified teacher for over 15 years. She has her Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) She is also a National Board Certified Teacher in K-3. She has worked as educator with the Brevard Zoo and Orlando Science Center. Mrs. Goodwin has received the Walt Disney World Teacherrific Award in the elementary category for the program she created in her classroom. She has been invited to be a member of Who's Who in Americas Teachers and is a member of the International Reading Association and the National Association for the Education of Young Children, even presenting at workshops for the local chapter. She is a graduate of Brevard Counties Catholic Schools and a member of Our Saviours Parish.

MISs CHITKO
Miss Chitko has her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communications with a minor in English and her Masters Degree in Teaching Elementary Education. She loves being a teacher, but before teaching, she went to Le Cordon Bleu to study culinary arts and worked in New York City as a recipe developer. She often incorporates cooking projects into the second grade curriculum!
5th Grade
Mrs. Young
Mrs. Young has extended experience in education having taught in the Dioceses of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lafayette, Indiana, and currently the Diocese of Orlando. She has taught various subjects in grades 1-7. Mrs. Young carries a Professional Florida Teaching certificate in grades K-6.
She graduated from University of Cincinnati with a BS in Elementary Education and is certified in grades 1 thru 8.
She has been an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul organizations in Ohio, Indiana, and now Florida.,
Her extensive experience also includes: Grant writer for Chapter 1 Reading Program in Cincinnati, OH, Winner of the Reflex Math grant 2016/2017 and Director of Hands on Extended Learning Program in Indianapolis - grades 4 thru 12.
Her greatest passion and joy is the time she spends in the classroom interacting with the students to support and advance their spiritual faith, personal growth, and educational experience.
Middle School - 6th, 7th & 8th Grade
Mrs. Rodecker
Mrs. Rodecker is excited to be starting her sixth year at Our Saviour Catholic School. Currently, Mrs. Rodecker teaches Middle School Social Studies and Literature. Previously, she has taught various subjects in Social Studies at the high school level. Mrs. Rodecker holds a Master of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Labor Relations. Mrs. Rodecker possesses Florida State Certification in Social Studies Grades 5-9 and Grades 6-12 as well as Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum Grades 5-9. In addition, she possesses certification for New York State Social Studies Grades 5-6 and 6-12. Prior to pursuing her love of history, Mrs. Rodecker worked within the field of Human Resources for many years. Mrs. Rodecker believes that education is the key to success for young students. She looks forward to working with her students to help them reach their inner strengths and abilities and discover what truly inspires them.

MrS. KABBORD
Kit Kabboord grew up in Gainesville, Florida. She studied English and Government at Georgetown University. After graduating college, she became certified in the state of Florida to teach English 6-12. She taught middle school English at St. Patrick’s Interparish School in Gainesville, Florida. Kit also taught AP English at St. Francis High School. At St. Francis she helped coach the girls’ volleyball team to become 2A state runners up. She has four children who attend OSCS.
Music
Mr. Gray
Mr. Gray is an award winning song writer, composer and local musician. He has been composing and teaching private music lessons for over 35 years in Southern California and Central Florida, has taught students of all ages.
He received a certificate in film scoring (equivalent to the Master degree in music) in 2004 from The University of California Los Angles. String consulate at Cocoa Beach Jr Sr H.S. and Edgewood Jr. Sr. H.S.
He is looking forward to inspiring his students musically and spiritually thought out the school year.
