Academics
Our Saviour Catholic School is a U.S. Dept. of Education Blue Ribbon School.
You’ve heard that term before, but what exactly does it mean?
For public schools the state may nominate up to 10% of their schools in the state each year.
For private schools, the Council for American Private Education may nominate only 50 private schools nationwide each year. So for a private school, it is a greater challenge since we are required to compete nationally for less positions.
An “A school” in Florida does not equate to a Blue Ribbon School.
Very few public schools pursue Blue Ribbon status.
